Survey Web impact of Evidence-Based Medicine Resources

Introduction: Increase the Web impact of Evidence-Based Medicine Resources, due to the use of scientific information and updates is important. Therefore The purpose of this study was to determine Web impact of Evidence-Based Medicine Resources.
Method: This study is an applied work, which was conducted using a webometric method. The statistical population consisted of six evidence-based medicine resources. The reason for choosing these databases was that they are being Subscription by the university and researchers have access to them. The used tool was the Webometric Analyst software. The collected data was analyzed through direct observation and after being entered into the software Excel.
Results: Based on data obtained from Webometric Analyst software, Web impact of Evidence-Based Medicine Resources was as follows: the Cochrane database (34/56), the Clinical Key database (21/47), the MD Consult database (19/14), the Clinical Evidence database (11/72), the Up To Date database (10/48) and the Nursing Consult database (2/33). Therefore Cochrane database had the most web impact and Nursing Consult database had the least web impact.
Conclusion: Despite the fact that resources of evidence based medicine are aimed to provide rapid access to medicine evidence. The overall results of this study showed that On the whole databases from the web impact were low, Providers need to recognize the factors that increase the Web impact of  Evidence-Based Medicine Resources play a major role, the basic steps to take to improve their resources.
